I think we can all admit it's been a bit of a year and with winter and flu season settling in and Christmas approaching you are likely looking for fun and creative ways to make holidays special. Well, at A Little Confetti we love to bring you holiday inspiration!
Of course we went to our favouite party girls and asked if they'd be interesting in hosting a small, fun, holiday gathering - and if you've been following us for any time now, you know that the Dunford girls never say no to a party.
Before I dig into the details, here's a list of our awesome vendors who came together to make this party special for the girls and their guest:
Photos & Venue: Laura, Dunford Girls
Styling / Balloons / Balloon Wreath: Sherry, Little Chic Parties
Treat boxes / Activity Placemats / Letters to Santa: Holly, How Sweet - Holly Loves Paper (Shop)
Florals & Wreath Placeholders: Catherina, How Sweet - Catherina Loves Petals (Shop)
Table & Chairs: Oma, My Party Genie (Shop)
Sugar Cookies: Michelle & Jennifer, Sugarbakers Cookie Co. (Shop)
Gingerbread Houses & Cakesicles: Sirine, 8 Cakes (Shop)
Gingerbread Houses & Candy Platter: Alyssa, Sugarcube YYC (Shop)Wrapping Paper / Gingerbread Man Tags / Merry Christmas Signage: Elise, Hip Hooray Studios (Shop)
Paper Partywares & Gold Fringe: myself - Kristin, A Little Confetti (Shop)
Since our lives are now limited by cohorts, this party was super small, and that's okay. You don't need tons of guest for your kids to have a great time. A fun celebration could consist of just your own children, or them and their cohort friends/family.
Sherry of Little Chic Parties stepped up to style the party, reaching out to each vendor to curate all the decor items ensuring it all tied together perfectly. Her and her husband were also responsible for creating that amazing balloon garland that was definitely a show stopper.
Upon entry to the party the little guest were greeted with a fun holiday display which included a Merry Christmas sign and joyfully wrapped presents with paper and tags all designed by the ever so talented Elise from Hip Hooray Studios.
To set the party space we used tables and chairs from Oma of My Party Genie. We love her items because she has the cutest child sized chairs and her small tables fit together to create the exact sized space you need.
For partywares we mixed a bunch of new Meri Meri holiday items available in our shop. Jolly Santa plates interchanged with Festive Motif plates and cups, as well as Holly Leaf napkins.
Sugarbakers Cookie Co. took inspiration from the Festive Motif plates for their cookies, and as usual the cookies were magnificent with no detail spared.
The lovely ladies from How Sweet were responsible for the beautiful floral holiday arrangements, wreath place holders and fun treat boxes. Catherina made the cute wreath place holders and stunning floral arrangement in a Santa boot. While Holly made the whimsical special delivery treat boxes.
A fun activity for the kids at the party was gingerbread house decorating. If you are looking for the yummiest gingerbread houses - look no further than the collaboration between 8 Cakes and Sugarcube! They have delicious gingerbread house kits to fit various dietary needs - gluten free, vegan and even gluten free vegan. Sugarcube also provided a fun holiday candy platter and 8 Cakes made fun cakesicles for the kids.
After making gingerbread houses the kids got to work on their Letters to Santa and Activity Placements provided by Holly (How Sweet).
Laura, the Dunford girls mama, wrapped up the party with a holiday story.
We just want to remind you that we plan these fun parties to provide inspiration. If any of these party elements tugs at you, take those pieces and create a beautiful memory for your kids, it could be gingerbread house decorating, letters to Santa or a mini party with fun partywares. It's creating those special little moments with them that makes the holidays magical.
