Everything is Blooming: Sienna’s Secret Garden Party
Every mom knows, coming up with creative and unique birthday themes for girls is HARD. There are so many options and trendy themes, it’s almost impossible to choose. But if your little has a summer birthday, a modern-vintage party might just be your cup of tea.
The good news is you don’t have to spend a fortune preparing for your outdoor get-together. And that’s especially true if your backyard is already well manicured and welcoming. So whether you want to host an elegant party or a more of a rustic type celebration, it’s a breeze to convert it into the perfect venue/host like we did at Primrose Lifestyle.
For Sienna’s party, we wanted something a little bit vintage and a whole lot sweet. A Little Confetti teamed up Melissa Dawn Designs, Hello Cream Co and some amazing local party vendors to bring that vision to life. From the adorable sugar cookies to the perfect party florals by Black Earth Floral and the whimsical, muted colour palette of dusty rose, ivory and gold, all the details played so well together.
Now for the fun part! We are going to tell you how you can easily pull off your very own dreamy outdoor botanical soiree. Basically, it comes down to two simple elements: Food & Decor.
First thing’s first. Food.
The cake. This masterpiece by Ginger and Spice Cakery was beautifully adorned with dainty handpainted rosebuds.
And those cookies? More delectable handpainted treats with pretty petals and leaves by Sugar Bakers Cookie Co. We used them as party favours as well, sending each guest off with their own hand-wrapped cookie.
Then comes the table setting. We can tell you that everything you have on your table will set the atmosphere for the garden party. So it may just be the most time-consuming part of planning.
For Sienna’s party, we incorporated key-shaped paper place cards to keep with the “secret” theme. And the party plates from our Flower Garden collection and our peach/pink ombré cups meshed so well with the details!
Now, go ahead and get to work planning your next secret garden party!
